Isabel's Story
Isabel Cabezas serves MHHJ as a Communications Specialist. With a background in the arts and social sciences, Isabel is a creative thinker who enjoys identifying and making nontraditional connections among ideas and people. As a Fulbright Scholar at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, she conceptualized a public outreach program that connected each of the Sustainable Development Goals to an artwork in the collection. At the National Gallery of Ireland, she helped compile a tour in partnership with First Fortnight, a charity that challenges mental health prejudice through arts and cultural action.
Before joining MHHJ, Isabel was part of the European Parliament’s Civil Society Outreach Unit and where she worked with celebrities to amplify the “Use Your Vote” message and inspirer voter participation in the 2024 European Elections. Previously, she supported the public diplomacy, consular services, and financial administration teams at the Embassy of Ireland to the United States. In 2018, she introduced the brand new Keough School of Global Affairs and the known brand of Notre Dame to the DC policy, academic, and government communities.
Isabel received a Masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. At the University of Notre Dame, Isabel explored soft power and cultural diplomacy by studying Art History, Anthropology, and International Peace Studies. Isabel grew up in the Washington, DC area and has lived in Ireland and Belgium.
